Since 2001, the “Business in a Connected World” Chair develops and disseminate knowledge and state-of-the-art expertise on the adoption and use of digital technologies by consumers and companies. The aim of the Chair is also to study the evolution of different forms of retailing as well as the development and integration of customer relations into an omni-channel strategy.
To work on all these research issues, the “Business in a Connected World” Chair is organised into various teams led by the holder of the Chair, Gregory Bressolles.
The team includes faculty members from KEDGE (i.e., Laurence Dessart, Renaud Lunardo, François Durrieu, Boris Bartikowski …), research fellows (i.e., Sylvain Sénécal from HEC Montréal…) as well as a panel of experts from professional world (i.e., Gemalto, HighCo, Cultura, Auchan …). The Chair signs renewable partnerships with companies wishing to work with us (like Auchan Retail Group, HighCo Group …).
The “e-Performance Barometer – online wine sales” study conducted every 2 years by the Chair in partnership with the “Rayon Boissons” magazine is the leading study on that topic and generates a lot of press released.
Recently, chronicles published on “Le Journal du Net” and on the “Harvard Business Review” French Websites have been published by the members of the BCW Chair.
A specialised track in “Connected Business” has been developed and is now proposed to a selective number of Master’s students of the “Grande Ecole” Programme (Master 1 and 2).
This track includes 8 specialised electives that are conducted by professionals and propose also different study trips to the students to encounter the leading companies on that sector (Google, Facebook, SalesForce, Amazon, LinkedIn, Critéo …).
The members of the BCW Chair are also coordinating the “Digital marketing" track in the MSc Marketing in the Bordeaux and Marseille campuses.
