César Baena holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, as well as a B.A. from York University (Toronto) and a MSc from the University of Montreal in Canada. César is professor of Strategic Management and International Business at KEDGE. He has taught in business schools and universities in various countries (France, Finland, Spain, Argentina, China, Lebanon) at undergraduate, MBA, PhD and executive education programs.
His research interests include strategic management, international business, internationalization, entrepreneurship, investment in emerging markets, and petroleum policy. César has published in a wide variety of academic journals such as Energy Policy and the International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development. His book on the internationalization strategy of state oil companies was published by Ashgate Publishers. His academic interests further include the study of decision-making processes, the introduction of Integrative Thinking methods in teaching, the role of business schools in society, and the articulation between government and the private sector for achieving entrepreneurial success. César is also the founder of Global Strategic Consulting, a start-up company that offers advice to companies in the areas of internationalization, Business Process Management, M&As, strategic alliances, and education.
