MSc Arts & Creative Industries management

The cultural and creative sector includes a wide range of activities, characterised by specific strategic aspects and an increasingly strong hybridisation. It is now flourishing and defining a new aesthetic, entrepreneurial and cosmopolitan capitalism.

Since 2004, thanks to the expertise of the Creative Industries Culture Research Centre KEDGE enables its students to specialise in management of the arts, culture and creative industries, first in a specialised course in the Programme Grande Ecole, and now in this MSc. Since 2021, KEDGE has created an Institute for Arts & Creative Industries Management Expertise: KEDGE Arts School.

Managers, artists, entrepreneurs – you are all welcome! We are looking for cultivated, passionate, committed, entrepreneurial students who will lead the industry of tomorrow.”

KEDGE Business School’s Master of Science Banking & Finance is a double degree programme. It delivers a Master of Science accredited by the conférence des grandes écoles (CGE) and a diploma recognised by the French Ministry of Higher Education.

Programme highlights

The programme focuses on a broad creative industries curriculum so students can discover creative industries as a whole. This approach allows students to fully understand value creation in the creative industries, and to develop their careers from one sub-sector to another.

Get the best out of our arts, culture and creative organisations management. France is unique in its wealth of cultural heritage and its lively creative sector. This country famed for its “cultural exception” supports a wide diversity of productions ; culture is not considered as a mere commodity. France identifies a unique notion of artistic, cultural and creative goods which distinguishes them worldwide.

What our students say:
"The main asset of this programme is that it is in the heart of Paris studying the French market from a creative and managerial perspective."

The programme is managed by the Creative Industries Culture Research Centre. It produces and shares knowledge about the management of creative industries and culture.  From prestigious arts institutions to small dynamic creative firms, the programme gathers a lot of partners from the arts, culture and creative industries. They share current practices within courses. These professionals guarantee a high quality of contextual learning and networking to access the market. Their expertise extends to all areas of management: creation and artistic direction, strategy, marketing, communication, studies, project management, team management...

Creativity is born of diversity. This Master of Science is made up of a group of students, both French and international (50% of International students), with very different profiles (both managerial and artistic).

Sample profiles

  • Kaitlyn, American student in art history
  • Irene, French student in luxury management
  • Abhishek, Indian student of psychology and DJ, passionate about music
  • Mehdi, Moroccan management student interested in video games and fashion

Teaching is immersive, it draws on research expertise, but also has strong links with professionals, using methods such as on-site courses in arts, culture and creative organisations, workshops with many brand names (Musée National des Arts Asiatiques Guimet, Hermès, Tik Tok, …), study trips and projects for organisations in the creative field (Creative France and London).

During the month of January, international experts in Arts and Creative Industries Management deliver a comparative management seminar on the specificity of each country: USA, Canada, Australia, Italy, UK, China, India, Japan, Middle East, Senegal,...
