An exceptional masterclass for the MSc Arts & Creative Industries Management le 07/04/2021

On Thursday 8 April, a new masterclass on the MSc Arts & Creative Industries Management programme will welcome drummer Billy Hart, one of the most renowned artists on the world jazz scene.

The immersive pedagogy of the MSc Arts & Creative Industries Management

Since 2019, Kedge Business School's MSc Arts & Creative Industries Management offered on the Paris campus has been offering MasterClasses open to all students from Kedge's Creative Industries Culture centre of expertise (including those from the Bordeaux campus). These interactive sessions feature exceptional guests who share their vision, career path and experience. They are major pedagogical tools for the learning of the programme's students.

Since its inception, the programme has welcomed actors with an inspiring message on the different cultural and creative sectors, such as Olivier Widmaeir Picasso, Sophie Makariou, DJ Falcon, collaborator of Daft Punk, Frederic Beigbeder, Jean-Charles De Castelbajac, Franck Annese, or the young Iranian boxer Safa Khadem.

A high-profile guest

Billy Hart's contribution to the evolution of the drum set and his career path, which has made him work with all the greatest jazz musicians, are exceptional. He has worked with Shirley Horn, Jimmy Smith, Wes Montgomery, Pharoah Sanders, Stan Getz, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner and Miles Davis. Today he leads his own Quartet, and records under his own name on the famous ECM label. He is an accomplished drummer - a famous American magazine has registered his participation in more than 700 recordings. He is also a keen witness to the evolution of American society from the post-war period to the present day. As an international artist, he has travelled the world incessantly, which allows him to have a "world view" on the issues facing humanity today. Billy Hart is one of the major personalities associated with the "Memory of Slavery / Memory of the River" project in Bordeaux.
