Current situation
At this stage, the resumption of face-to-face classes is not expected before the first week of February. Several meetings have been requested by the Universities, but also by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, to discuss the possibility of resuming face-to-face lessons earlier, at the beginning of January. This is our most fervent wish. We are considering the resumption of a certain number of activities, if not courses, on our campuses as of January, and the measures we will have to put in place to make this possible. However, nothing has been guaranteed or recorded at this stage.
However, we can already confirm that all the first semester exams are held in December and January.
As for the courses, they will continue to take place remotely via our digital platforms used by all our teachers. All of the courses that were initially taught in classrooms are therefore available online for the entire period.
Nevertheless, we are ready to change this scenario at any time, knowing that our priority, while respecting the application of the measures decided by the government, is to allow our students to return to our campuses to follow their studies. We have been able to switch from face-to-face to distance learning in 24 hours. We will be able to make the opposite move within the same timeframe.
Meeting class representatives
At the same time, and in order to take into account as many of the students' problems as possible and to provide them with appropriate responses, six meetings with class representatives from all programmes and sections were organised. The format was kept simple: an interactive and transparent dialogue between class representatives and the school management. An action plan of around fifty key actions identified is currently being prepared and will be shared with class representatives in the near future and then implemented.
