Andra Cotiga is senior professor in business law at Kedge Business School since 2025 and director of the MSc Business Law, Responsible Conduct and Compliance, Paris campus. She was a professor of business law at the Catholic University of Lille (2016-2025) where she was the director of the chair Business Ethics: Compliance, ESG & Sustainability Reporting (2023-2025) sustained by the Foundation of the Catholic University of Lille. She was the director of the Master Business & Competition Law and the DU International Compliance. Andra defended her doctoral thesis in law in 2010 at the University of Lille on the topic "Regulatory Competition within the European Union: the Example of Company Law" (work published by Larcier, 2013). She obtained her HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) in law in 2015 at the University of Strasbourg. She has been a research fellow several times at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and Private International Law (Germany) in 2007, 2008-2010, 2013, 2023, 2024, 2025. Andra is currently a member of the Society of Comparative Legislation and a member of the European Law Institute since September 2011. She regularly publishes in the field of European and comparative business law including corporate sustainability and reporting. Currently, her work mainly focuses on the law applicable to companies, the duty of diligence and sustainability reporting. She speaks and works in the following languages: Romanian (native language), French (bilingual), English (bilingual), and German (fluent).
