Master the commercial and strategic challenges of transport & logistics in an international environment

Drawing strength from a rich heritage and strong links with the corporate world, Kedge offers high-quality training as well as exclusive insights into its global vision of transport and logistics.

The international element of the MSc International Transport and Logistics is the cornerstone of the programme. It follows a partnership-led method of teaching, enabling students to get hands-on experience managing international and strategic issues related to transportation, storage, customs, and IT. Programme highlights

A PROGRAMME WITH A THREE TIERED APPROACH

The MSc International Transport and Logistics approach to training emphasises experiential learning and case studies. Students attend industrial conferences and conduct field visits to develop an operational and practical vision.

They then present their own case studies, individual projects and group work before panels of industry professionals. More than 70% of course staff are leading practitioners in their field of activity.

A GLOBAL VISION OF TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

The triple-sectoral approach -international trade, logistics, transport- is in line with the current needs and challenges of international-focused companies.

A FRAMEWORK DESIGNED TO PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL INTEGRATION

Business projects provide participants with valuable hands-on experience in business conduct and strategy. They also provide the tools you’ll need to deal with the complexities of decision-making processes. Students are guided by both their corporate mentor and KEDGE Business School tutor. These working professionals remain in close contact with students throughout project work and during the creation of theses. The role of these academics is to help students build their professional profile and personal network.

We have many corporate partners for our MSc Trade and Logistics courses, including a broad range of internationally-oriented SMEs like CMA CGM, Gemalto and Seafoodexport, as well as a range of SMBs with a strong international focus.

STUDY TRIP AT ROTTERDAM PORT

During the MSc International Transport and Logistics, it’s possible for students to arrange an overseas trip to the port city of Rotterdam as part of the course focus on the Maritime Industry. In doing so, students will discover more about the many trades and structures, as well as better understand the international trade and logistics challenges and opportunities.

Management skills in tune with business reality

Strategy: managing challenges and issues

You’ll learn how to develop an overview of key issues, gain a deeper understanding of the operational and strategic challenges related to international trade and logistics, and learn about port management and strategy as well.

Logistics: rules and international flow management

You’ll master the business strategies related to global logistics and trade, from breaking into foreign markets to managing physical flows and information. You’ll learn how to integrate digitised techniques into operations management, as well as the basic concepts related to international transport and logistics, international transport law and customs operations.

Management: mastering the parameters of the international supply chain

You’ll study transversal skills needed to design and pilot successful development strategies for a company or production unit in an international environment. You’ll manage all risk, personnel and multimodal transport, as well the operational and financial resources involved in the international supply chain.

Negotiation: understanding international rules and laws

You’ll learn and practice skills in cross-cultural negotiation, international marketing and end-to-end management (from supplier to end customer), while also mastering geopolitics, international finance and international contract law in this portion of the course.

The three tiered approach of the MSc International Transport and Logistics, which focuses on international trade and transport and logistics, provides all the tools you’ll need for a successful career in the field. At the end of the course, you’ll be able to create and manage end-to-end strategies that deal with the logistics of complex international exchanges.

Enjoy a globally-focused course

Admission onto the MSc International Transport and Logistics course requires a bac +4 level. This year of specialization provides key skills in international trade and logistics. If you have a bac +3, you’ll need to complete an upgrade course first before starting the specialisation course. This year-long course enables you to acquire managerial skills, develop real expertise, and learn to innovate and create in order to launch the companies of tomorrow. During the second half of the course, students can also choose to take part in a student exchange programme, lasting between four and six months. This semester abroad provides the equivalent of 30 ECTS business course credits.
Participating partner universities vary each year, but there are many benefits to taking part in this exchange:
•    Immersion in a different culture
•    Experience different teaching methods
•    Develop openness and agility
•    Acquire a global perspective
•    Improve or learn a foreign language
•    Create an international network

During the MSc International Transport and Logistics, you’ll focus on four main areas: strategy, logistics, management and negotiation.
