Philippe Ruiz is an assistant professor in Project Management. He holds an MS in Project and Programme Management and a PhD in Strategy, Programme, and Project Management from SKEMA Business School (2007). Prior to joining KEDGE Business School, Philippe worked on projects for the computer industry – he has consulted globally and is highly experienced in presenting ideas in a way that bridges cultural and organisational differences. Philippe now teaches with a focus on how organisations learn to improve their project performance. Over the past 10 years he has taught PM at the bachelor’s and master’s levels in both French and English. He has also supervised dozens of master students and sat on many master and doctoral committees all over Europe. His current research interests are about managerial learning in the framework of complex projects and programmes, with an emphasis on how decision-making practices and strategic choices can improve project delivery. Last but not least, Professor Ruiz has a genuine interest in non-traditional project settings such as arts and culture, law, or education. He is also truly passionate about how students learn and he has developed several business simulations and serious games for effective PM practice.
