19/10/2026
On 21 October 2026, KEDGE Business School welcomes Christopher Guérin, former CEO of Nexans, for an exclusive keynote exploring how businesses can create high-margin value while respecting planetary boundaries.

Exploring sustainable business performance with Christopher Guérin

How can companies improve profitability while reducing their environmental footprint? This is the central question of Simplify to Amplify: Creating High-Margin Value Within Earth’s Limits, a keynote taking place on 21 October, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, at KEDGE’s Paris campus.

Designed for second-year MSc students in International Business, Marketing, Business Transformation for Sustainability and Business Law, this session will give students the opportunity to explore the challenges of corporate transformation through the experience of a leading industrial executive.

Rethinking business performance

Drawing on his experience as former CEO of Nexans, Christopher Guérin will share insights into how strategic simplification can help companies move beyond volume-driven growth towards more profitable, focused and sustainable business models.

The keynote will examine how businesses can streamline their product portfolios, optimise operations and allocate resources more effectively to strengthen competitiveness while reducing their environmental impact.

At the heart of this approach is the E3 Performance Model – Economy, Environment and Engagement – which highlights how financial performance, environmental responsibility and employee engagement can reinforce one another to support long-term business success.

Connecting business strategy with sustainability

Through real-world corporate transformation insights, students will explore how strategic decisions can respond to economic pressures, resource constraints and the challenges of the low-carbon transition.

The session will also address the role of sustainability metrics in business decision-making, including carbon reduction and resource efficiency, and how these indicators can contribute to operational performance and long-term value creation.

An extended Q&A session will give students the opportunity to engage directly with Christopher Guérin, discuss the realities of executive leadership and explore the skills needed to drive transformation in a rapidly changing business environment.
