16/12/2020
On December 3rd, Kedge students were invited to assist an online conference about Women in Soccer and Sport. They had the opportunity to meet 3 KEDGE Alumni that became international sport business experts.

3 KEDGE Master of Science in International Event & Sport Management alumni shared their experience as international sport business experts:

  • Maryline Cabane, Sponsorship and Business Development Manager, French Football Federation
  • Charlotte Veyron, Head of Marketing, AS Monaco
  • Marion Jay, Senior Sponsorship Account Manager, Paris Saint-Germain

This conference was an exchange were the 3 alumni discussed the situation of working for major soccer companies as women:

-Career path, development and professional skills needs in marketing and sports sponsorship
-Place of women in the decision-making and development of football clubs and teams
-What vision of post-Covid social sports marketing in football

This allowed current Msc International Event & Sport Management students to get a concrete understanding and insights from their future careers in the industry. Lauren Logeart, Msc International Event & Sport Management student, shared her feedback :

"We had the opportunity to participate in a conference on the theme of women and sport business. The feedback from our speakers was very interesting. It allowed us to go beyond the clichés. We all tend to believe that the world of soccer or sport business is a highly masculine environment, but with hindsight the world of sport business is becoming more feminine and more and more women are jumping on the bandwagon to join this environment and thus become major players. From this conference, we will remember that our weaknesses today are our strengths of tomorrow to face this unbiased environment."
