A Masterclass with Régis Ravanas
The Masterclass will be held on Friday 12 January between 4 and 6 pm in the auditorium of KEDGE Paris.
The Masterclass will focus on Régis Ravanas' career and his vision of the sector and will be animated by Philippe Ravanas, professor & Chair Emeritus, Columbia College Chicago.
Régis Ravanas' Biography
Régis Ravanas, an EIP engineer and HEC MBA graduate, worked as a journalist before joining Warner Music and then Universal Music as Product Manager.
In 1995, he was appointed Head of New Networks at M6 Interactions, Groupe M6's diversification subsidiary. He became Deputy Managing Director and set up the Publications department, the subsidiaries M6 Éditions and M6 Événements, as well as M6's record label group. He also took charge of licensing and the M6music.fr website.
In 2000, Régis Ravanas was appointed Managing Director of M6 Interactions. He joined M6 in 2003 as Deputy Director General of Programmes, overseeing the magazine, entertainment, music, games, reality, youth and short programme units. He is also responsible for the channel's broadcasting and programming. At the same time, he was appointed Chairman of Studio 89, the M6 Group's production subsidiary, and was also Director of Productions, General Administration of Programmes and Production Resources at M6.
He joined the TF1 Group in 2009 as Deputy Managing Director for Diversification and Chairman of TF1 Entreprises, Téléshopping, e-TF1 (2010) and TF1 Vidéo (2011). He also took charge of Group Development in September 2013.
In February 2016, Régis was appointed Executive Vice President, Advertising and Diversification. He oversees the Group's commercial activities, including channel distribution.
Since 2019, Régis Ravanas has been Managing Director of the group's audio activities within the M6 group. In this capacity, he is Chairman of RTL, RTL2 and Fun Radio.
Philippe Ravanas is Professor and Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship at Chicago Columbia College. He is an international expert on the pricing, revenue management, cultural policy, sponsorship and marketing of live performance and entertainment. He is a visiting professor at the University of Montreal (HEC) and researcher at the Beijing University of International Studies and visiting professor at KEDGE Arts School, KEDGE Business School since 2019.
