Alexandre LAVISSIERE

Alexandre Lavissiere is an Assistant Professor in Maritime Logistics and Business Strategy. He graduated from KEDGE Marseille in 2004, then worked for 10 years as a consultant in strategy for several companies, governments and international institutions in more than 20 countries. While he was still a consultant, Alexandre started a Ph.D. in Maritime Management at KEDGE and defended his thesis on Free Ports in 2014. Since then he worked for the Institut portuaire d’enseignement et de recherche in Le Havre and was an Assistant Professor at EM Normandie. His research interests are in Free Trade Zones, Port Marketing and Airport Handling & Women Empowerment in Supply Chain sectors. Alexandre publishes in internaitonal academic journals as well as in economic press. He won few research awards (IAME, Springer, AoM...) and coached two student Teams who won the PEMA Challenge an international student competition. Alexandre Lavissière is visiting Professor at University of North Florida, HELP Kuala Lumpur and ESA Beirut. He is also an expert at World Bank for logistic issues in Middle East and North Africa Region and was recently appointed President of Logisthinker, a logistic oriented international Think Tank.
