Alexandre Lavissiere is an Assistant Professor specialized in logistics, transportation, Supply Chain, international business and strategy. He graduated from Kedge Marseille in 2004, then worked for 10 years as a consultant in strategy for several companies, governments and international institutions in more than 20 countries. While he was still a consultant, Alexandre started a Ph.D. in Maritime Management at Kedge and defended his thesis on Free Ports in 2014. Since then he worked for the Institut Portuaire d’Enseignement et de Recherche in Le Havre and was an Assistant Professor at EM Normandie. His research interests are in international trade, logistics and transportation, free ports, port marketing and airport handling.
Alexandre publishes in internaitonal academic journals as well as in economic press. He won two research awards and coached two student Teams who won the PEMA Challenge an international student competition. Alexandre Lavissière is visiting Professor at University of North Florida, HELP Kuala Lumpur and ESA Beirut. He is also an expert at World Bank for logistic issues in Middle East and North Africa Region.
