Odile DE SURREL DE SAINT JULIEN

Odile DE SAINT JULIEN, a graduate of the SKEMA BS PGE program, holds a research master’s degree (ESA-Grenoble) and a Ph.D. in management science. She has completed several additional training programs to strengthen her skills in technology management: l’X polytechnique Palaiseau; École des Mines Paris; and CNAM Paris. A senior strategy consultant and specialist in innovation ecosystems within the life sciences, she has contributed to the implementation of numerous deep tech ecosystems. Her strong entrepreneurial attitude led her to co-found and lead (as CEO) a scientific research laboratory in biotechnology. She was deeply involved in the creation of incubators in Silicon Africa to support regional development, and later, in India, in the creation of an incubator to facilitate the transfer of technology and support some 30 startups in the field of eye surgery. For several years, she supported Mozambican micro-enterprises through the May’s Entrepreneurship Workshops. Finally, in Singapore, she established a center of excellence for the valorization and transfer of high technologies in the field of biotechnology. As an associate professor, Odile has been teaching strategy and entrepreneurship at KEDGE since 2015. A member of the PEPITE Méditerranée Steering Committee for over 10 years, she serves as the academic advisor for the SNEE (National Student-Entrepreneur Program) at KEDGE Toulon. As a member of KEDGE’s Health & Innovation Center of Expertise, her research interests are directly linked to her professional experience. She received the 2023 FNEGE LABEL in the “Non-collective Research Work” category for her book “The Innovation Ecosystem as a Source of Value Creation.”
