Our areas of specialisation are structured around five key pillars:

  • Financial Markets, covering asset valuation, portfolio management and investment strategies.
  • Corporate Finance, focusing on strategic financial decisions, capital structure and value creation.
  • Financial Analysis, developing skills in financial diagnostics, business valuation and financial forecasting.
  • Sustainable Finance and Impact Investing, addressing ESG challenges and driving the transformation of financial practices towards greater responsibility.
  • Data Science Applied to Finance and Fintech, integrating emerging technologies, artificial intelligence and financial innovation.

This complementary range of disciplines enables the Department to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date perspective on careers in finance, in line with the evolving needs of the sector.

Department members deliver a blend of theoretical and practical education, combining a strong academic foundation in financial concepts, models and quantitative methods with an applied approach through case studies, corporate projects and the use of professional tools. This dual approach equips our students with the skills needed to enhance their employability and adapt to the changing landscape of the financial industry.

Our faculty members contribute to all of KEDGE Business School’s programmes, including undergraduate and graduate programmes such as the Grande École Programme (PGE), KEDGE Bachelor, EBP International and IBBA, as well as executive education programmes.

The Department offers a MSc programme:

MSc Finance. This programme is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the fundamental principles of finance, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and ethical responsibility, two critical issues in today's financial world. Students can also specialise in one of two areas: Financial Markets (Bordeaux campus) or Corporate Finance (Marseille campus).

The Financial Markets specialisation explores contemporary topics such as fintech, market risk management, and the use of Python and VBA, equipping students with valuable technical skills. The Corporate Finance specialisation focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and advanced valuation techniques, preparing students for careers in an ever-changing corporate environment. The programme is led by Pierre Casanova.
