A hands-on learning experience aligned with industry realities
Guided by Data & AI experts from CGI, including Youssef Ait Oubrahim (Data Science & AI Engineer) and Julien Faure (Senior Consultant), participants were supported throughout this immersive experience, designed to replicate real professional conditions.
Organised with OpenCertif in collaboration with BNP Paribas Personal Finance and CGI, this hackathon is fully embedded in the MSc Data Analytics for Business curriculum. It enables students to apply their technical and analytical skills to genuine business challenges.
Working in teams, students developed innovative AI-based solutions addressing real issues related to financial products. The programme included coaching sessions and Q&A on the Azure AI-900 certification, collaborative teamwork, expert mentoring and the delivery of operational outputs.
The event concluded with a final pitch in front of an expert panel, recreating the conditions of a real business project and allowing students to showcase both their technical expertise and communication skills.
A core component of the MSc Data Analytics for Business
Hackathons are an integral part of the MSc Data Analytics for Business and a key pillar of its pedagogical approach. They offer students a unique opportunity to learn by doing, in direct interaction with corporate partners and industry experts.
These immersive experiences help students develop essential skills, including project management, teamwork, complex problem-solving and the ability to transform data into high-value, actionable solutions.
What is a hackathon at KEDGE?
A hackathon is far more than just a challenge. It is an immersive learning experience that has become a core pedagogical exercise in leading business schools. This intensive format brings together students with diverse skill sets to tackle a strategic challenge as a team within a limited timeframe, ranging from a few hours to several days.
From the outset, icebreaker and ideation phases stimulate creativity and team cohesion, before participants move into dynamic project management. Each hackathon concludes with presentations to a panel of experts, where the most impactful ideas are recognised. A powerful accelerator for learning and innovation.
