One of the key strengths of the MSc Sport and Event Management programme lies in its experiential learning, extending beyond traditional classroom teaching. Throughout the year, several unique opportunities immerse students in real-life challenges, allowing them to engage in unforgettable immersive experiences. Overview of the exceptional content awaiting students in the programme this year:

Exploring leaders in the sporting world

This new class of the MSc will face a series of inspiring challenges, from creating partnership activation programmes for renowned clubs to exploring marketing strategies for leading international sports events:

  • The partnership activation programme with the Rugby Club Toulonnais will see students collaborating with the RCT management and MSc Alumni, seeking to propose new activation programmes for the club.
  • The intervention of Ilyes Chaibdra, a former programme student and responsible for sponsorship activations at Olympique de Marseille, will provide a practical and professional perspective on renewing major partnerships for O.M. This challenge is integrated into the "commercial business in sport" module.
  • Students will also immerse themselves in the emerging world of e-sports by working with experts in the field, such as Romain Sombret and Sylvian Vachier from MCES, a specialist group in the sector. This interaction will take place within the "e-sport management & marketing" module, offering an in-depth understanding of management and marketing in the specific field of e-sports.
  • Through real case studies like the Open13 Provence business model analysis under the guidance of Lionel Maltese, professor, and Aurélie Fersing, Alumni, students will explore strategic aspects of managing sports events and get a chance to participate in organising this prestigious event.
  • They will also have the unique opportunity to engage in practical projects for renowned events. Organising the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) 3×3 World Tour in collaboration with Oreca Group will provide an insight into the preparation and execution of an international-scale sports event.
  • Working on the FISE World Series (BMX freestyle) tour with Lucas Vignais, FISE partnership manager, will allow students to delve into the development strategy of this major international event.

These immersive experiences signify a significant shift in learning, providing practical expertise and essential skills in sports event management, while students concurrently expand their professional networks.
