MSc Business Law, Conduct & Compliance — Immersive learning through high-level professional exposure

30/04/2026
Throughout April, students from the MSc Business Law, Conduct & Compliance programme at KEDGE Business School took part in a series of high-impact professional experiences, designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world legal and compliance practice. From courtrooms to global firms, these immersive activities strengthened their practical understanding and sharpened their career perspectives.

Strengthening legal expertise through real-world engagement

7–9 April — inside dispute resolution and the French judicial system

As part of their courses in 'alternative dispute resolution, mediation and arbitration', students engaged in a three-day immersion led by Maître Bhavani Kichenin.
At CMAP (Centre de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris), they explored mediation and arbitration mechanisms through a practical, interactive session with professionals, gaining a concrete understanding of alternative dispute resolution tools increasingly used in business environments.
This was followed by two days at the Cour d’appel de Paris, where students observed hearings in both criminal and high-profile money laundering cases. These sessions enabled them to connect theoretical knowledge in white-collar crime and AML with real judicial proceedings, strengthening their analytical and professional reflexes.

13 April — Exposure to leading financial and legal institutions

As part of the Litigation Relating to Anticorruption and AML course, students visited Crédit Agricole and the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges. The visits were supervised by Mrs Milica Antica.

At Crédit Agricole, students met with specialists from the litigation, ESG compliance and internal inspection teams, gaining valuable insight into the compliance framework of a major financial institution and the wide range of career opportunities within the sector.

At Weil, Gotshal & Manges, students exchanged with lawyers from several practice areas, providing them with a broader understanding of legal practice in an international law firm and a clearer perspective on the expectations and realities of high-level legal careers.

A practical seminar to deepen compliance skills

The programme also hosted a full-day seminar on anti-corruption compliance under the supervision of Mr Jean-Luc Meurisse. Through hands-on group work on real-life compliance challenges ranging from whistleblowing systems to third-party risk, students developed operational skills essential for compliance roles.
Keynote contributions from experts at the French Anti-Corruption Agency and Vivendi provided valuable insider perspectives, reinforcing students’ understanding of current compliance practices and expectations in leading organisations.
