MSc International Business students on a study trip at the heart of European institutions

19/03/2026
From 23 to 25 February, MSc International Business students from KEDGE Business School travelled to Brussels for a study trip at the heart of Europe. Over three days, they took part in an immersive experience combining institutional insights, professional encounters and strategic perspectives on global issues.

Inside European institutions

Upon arrival in Brussels, the students were welcomed at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), where they gained insight into the role and mission of this key institution, which facilitates dialogue between Europe’s economic and social stakeholders. The visit continued at the European Committee of the Regions, offering a complementary perspective on European governance.

The following day, the group headed to the European Parliament for an inside look at the EU’s democratic process. They visited the hemicycle and developed a deeper understanding of how the institutions operate. In the afternoon, they attended conferences at the European Commission, exploring major topics such as the future of Europe and the challenges of EU trade policy.

Exploring global challenges through leading organisations

The third day was dedicated to a visit to IBM in Brussels. This session gave students valuable insight into current technological challenges, particularly around agentic AI and issues of digital sovereignty.

Through presentations, case studies and testimonials from young professionals, participants were able to connect academic concepts with real-world practice, gaining a clearer understanding of the challenges faced by international organisations.

A shared and formative experience

Throughout the trip, students experienced a fast-paced schedule of visits and discussions. They refined their professional posture and communication in demanding environments, while also strengthening group dynamics.

This immersive experience fully reflects the DNA of the MSc International Business: grounding academic learning in the realities of the institutions and organisations graduates will go on to engage with.
