KEDGE'S OPERATION ZERO 'GOODIE'
It is customary for schools to offer welcome goodie to its entrance exams candidates. At Kedge, we are determined to change our practices to adopt new ways of taking action, and contributing to the challenges of our time. Since last year, the school has been offering candidates the opportunity to support an association committed to taking concrete action in their local area. Each candidate can choose a cause close to his or her heart, and the school will donate on their behalf to one of the three associations we suggest they support. For each donation[BL1] , the school will pay €2 to the association at the end of the competition. A simple, positive and impactful action rather than a useless and quickly forgotten object.
Based on the 3 pillars of the sustainability approach, three associations with which the school is already working have been selected:
CARE FOR PEOPLE: BEING A COMMITTED SCHOOL FOR A MORE INCLUSIVE SOCIETY
Kedge supports La Fondation des femmes - the Women's Foundation
Created in 2014, it is France's benchmark organization for women's freedom and rights and against the violence they suffer. Thanks to the donations it receives, the Women's Foundation provides financial, legal and material support for high-impact associative initiatives. It works throughout France on 6 themes: Violence, Vulnerability, Harassment, Health, Work and Justice.
INNOVATE FOR TOMORROW: REINVENTING OUR WORK TO ACCELERATE ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL TRANSITION
Kedge supports the Jane Goodall Institute
Roots & Shoots is an environmental education programme initiated by 12 Tanzanian teenagers with Dr Jane Goodall in 1991. The programme trains future leaders to be caring and committed to a better world. The Project is now active in 65 countries, with 10,000 groups involving 700,000 young people.
ACT FOR THE PLANET: ACT TO PROTECT THE CLIMATE AND BIODIVERSITY
Kedge supports: La ligue pour la protection des oiseaux (LPO) - the League for the Protection of Birds
The LPO is the leading nature protection association in France in terms of volume of activities and number of members. Founded in 1912, it works to protect biodiversity thanks to the involvement of nearly 65,000 members, 8,000 active volunteers and a network of dozens of local associations spread across France.
