Gradual resumption of classes from February 4th onwards

22/01/2021
Following the government's press conference on 14 January, the Chapter of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles met in an extraordinary general assembly on 20 January to specify the measures for the gradual resumption of on-site classes defined by the government.

Measures for KEDGE

These measures apply to first year undergraduate students (Bachelor, EBP, IBBA, Kedge Design School), L3s from the MIM - and L3 Business Engineers. The 50% maximum capacity of rooms and collective spaces remains the rule.

Survey to identify the teaching method best suited

We have decided to conduct a survey of students concerned by the gradual return to campus to identify the teaching method best suited to their situation and thus give them the choice between on-site and remote learning using to co-modal teaching.

At this stage, we are planning a gradual return to campus from February 4, once we have analysed the results of this survey to provide the best possible responses to the expectations and constraints of the students in the programmes concerned. For those who are no longer able to follow their course on campus, alternatives will be proposed.

For all other programmes, the rule is that the courses will remain on hold pending the next government directives.

Emmanuel Macron announcement

Yesterday, Emmanuel Macron addressed the students from the University of Paris Saclay. During this speech he announced a return to campus at least one day a week for all students.
We are waiting for details on the modalities of this measure to keep you informed of the arrangements we will be able to make.

Continuation of on-campus activities

Kedge also maintains the following on-campus activities:

  • Associative management course,
  • Practical work including from Kedge Design School in Marseille or Kedge Wine school,
  • Serious games simulation workshops and role-playing for certain specialised training courses,
  • Pro-Acts for the Business Engineer and Bachelor programmes in Toulon,
  • Activities of our incubators,
  • Some Continuing Education programmes that require on-site pick-up.

Finally, we keep providing access to campuses and resource rooms for students who are isolated and have connection issues. These students should contact the Student Office on their campus to arrange for them to come on site.

Online exams

In view of the uncertainty of the situation we are still in today, we have also taken the decision to organise all future exams online for all students in the various Kedge programmes.

Be assured that we are striving to allow you to follow your course in the best possible conditions.
