International Trade & Logistics students challenged on the future of Green Logistics

International Trade and Logistics MSc students will participate in a one-day conference about green logistics on March 9th. This is an opportunity for them to identify and manage current, important issues relevant to the logistics industry.

A high-level conference about green logistics

Jason Monios, associate professor in maritime logistics at KEDGE Business School, will start. He will present an overview of current challenges and threats relating to climate change, air pollution and resource depletion, with a particular focus on the role of transport and logistics in causing these problems.

Then several potential solutions will be discussed including a review of current practices observed in industry.

In the afternoon, for the third part of the conference about green logistics, students will participate in a roundtable animated by Jason Monios and 4 industry professionals :

  • Pierre SCHULZ - Sustainability Consultant -Deloitte France
  • Guillaume LE GRAND – CEO -  TOWT
  • Charles MISSEGHERS – Commercial Manager - Alkion Terminals
  • Bertrand NOBILLAUX – Head of international development, Energies, Oil & Gas -  SEGULA Technologies

They will discuss sailboats, airships and other solutions within the green logistics. Here are the 3 main questions that will be addressed:

•    Participants motivations for doing green activities
•    The challenges they are facing
•    Their vision of the future

This experience if part of the experiential modules fully integrated in the International Trade & Logistics MSc, allowing student to develop an in-depth practical application and critical thinking in key areas.
