KEDGE Business School’s Summer Schools: An enriching multicultural academic experience

12/09/2023
For several years, the KEDGE Summer School programme has become a must-attend event for students from around the world looking for an enriching academic experience and a unique cultural immersion. This summer, 200 students from 56 different universities took part in the programme on one of our 3 campuses: Bordeaux, Marseille, or Paris.

A diverse on-site and online academic programme

From June 5th to July 28th, participants had the chance to deepen their academic and professional skills in a stimulating environment. They benefited from a selection of 20 advanced bachelor and master level courses covering various subjects such as finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, supply chain, wine… In response to student needs wishing to learn online, KEDGE also offered an online course on "sustainable entrepreneurship & social business".

A multicultural experience with social and cultural activities

In 2023, KEDGE Summer Schools brought together students from 34 different nationalities. This multicultural environment fostered exchanges of ideas and international collaborations. The diversity also encouraged open-mindedness and allowed participants to develop their intercultural skills. KEDGE Summer Schools go beyond academic courses. They also offer a variety of social and cultural activities, allowing participants to discover the richness of French heritage. Student associations organised a programme that included sports activities (beach volleyball) and excursions (visits to the Darwin ecosystem, the Louvre Museum, the Frioul Islands).

Besides the Summer School programme

In parallel with the Summer School programme, 52 students from the UNCW University in the USA had a 4-week immersive experience on the Marseille campus. They attended courses focused on cultural negotiation and business law. They also had the opportunity to explore the wonders of the region by visiting Nice, Monaco, Les Beaux-de-Provence, Marseille, and Cassis. Additionally, as part of the Tailor-Made programme, 39 students from EAFIT University in Colombia spent two weeks attending courses on leadership, communication, and international negotiations in Marseille and Paris this summer.
