Who is Luis Reyes-Ortiz, professor of finance at KEDGE ?
Trained as a macroeconomist modeller, Luis Reyes-Ortiz holds a master's degree in modelling (University of Paris 1) and a doctoral thesis (University of Paris 13) on the transition of economic policy objectives in France since the 1970s.
He is currently developing empirical models for three countries : France, Colombia and Vietnam. After two years working in the GEMMES team at the French Development Agency, he joined Kedge Business School as a professor of finance and economics.
His research work focuses on the asymmetric evolution of the Chinese and American economies (in terms of growth, exchange rate, dominant currency, house prices). Its talks also about the modelling of stock flows for France, Colombia and Vietnam, and on the role of the exchange rate in the capital structure of European countries.
His teaching experience (in English, French, Spanish) includes micro and macroeconomics, international finance, econometrics, time series analysis, modelling, social entrepreneurship finance, development economics.
