Academic partnership: commitment towards sustainable finance
The academic partnership "Committed to sustainable finance", initiated by the Institut de la finance durable in collaboration with the Institut Louis Bachelier, is a major step towards training the next generation of finance professionals in sustainable issues.
This partnership brings real added value to the students on these courses, who will acquire the skills they need to contribute to a more responsible financial future.
In return, the Institute for Sustainable Finance will be able to benefit from the impact of the KEDGE community, with over 60,000 graduates, to encourage a change in practices.
15 criteria to ensure adequate skills to face the challenges of transition and the development of expertise in sustainable finance
The partnership is based on a set of 15 criteria divided into three parts, designed to ensure that students have a sound ecological knowledge base and a strong ambition to develop their expertise in sustainable finance. As an example, the following are required depending on the programme undertaken:
- Training in ecological issues: 24 hours of training in ecological issues and sustainable development as part of the core curriculum during the year.
- In terms of sustainable finance: 48 hours of courses dedicated to sustainable finance over the course of the year.
- In terms of transforming the academic player: developing an ecological transition strategy for the institution as a whole, including its contribution to the public debate on sustainable finance through, for example, dedicated research areas.
The 2023 edition includes 9 "committed to sustainable finance" masters' degrees, including KEDGE Business School's MSc Sustainable Finance.
It's a pleasure to be part of an ecosystem that encourages a change in practices (in business and research) in the right direction, while enabling our partners to benefit from students who are well trained in climate issues and extra-financial analysis.
