  • MODULE 1

INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABILITY

This module is designed to build a comprehensive understanding of environmental and societal issues. It specifically aims to provide students with the concepts, models and tools necessary to consider the creation of new value propositions. Based on an innovative pedagogical approach, it brings students on an experiential journey, connecting the educational content with the application of knowledge. The module includes knowledge about sustainability, CSR, business ethics, and the traditions and mindsets that underpin them. It is a combination of environmental sustainability topics, such as biodiversity, and social sustainability topics, such as inclusion. In the first module, transformational business challenges are set as part of a learning-by-doing pedagogical approach.

  • MODULE 2

COLLABORATION FOR TRANSFORMATION

This module develops skills in the areas of cross-sectoral collaboration, in designing, structuring and implementing stakeholder dialogues and in communicating for sustainability. They will enable students to acquire the necessary skills to co-construct value propositions with multiple stakeholders. It also helps to understand how to provide practical solutions in transforming business models for sustainability: building activities for design, social innovation, business models for sustainability and different sustainable business formats. The programme includes the professional certification: The Wagon® on Media Communication Coding.

MISSION WITHIN A NON-BUSINESS ORGANISATION

To ensure a thorough understanding of the potential for business collaboration and an alternative perception of non-companies such as civil society organisations, students will work on an assignment with an NGO or non-commercial organisation. This will help to reinforce and broaden the content of the first semester and provide practical experiences that they can bring to the classroom in the second semester.

Semester 2

→ March-June

  •  MODULE 3

CHANGE FOR TRANSFORMATION

This module helps understanding how to drive change in transforming business models for sustainability. It includes a broad view of sustainable change at a societal, an organisational and an individual level. The module aims at providing students with the skills needed to favour new sustainable behaviours for effective sustainable management. It considers ethics and responsible management and dwells into the new managerial paradigms needed to face societal and generational issues for a better world.

  •  MODULE 4

MANAGEMENT & TOOLS

This module includes methodological and quantitative skills: social finance and investment, impact investing and measurement, circular economy, reporting for environmental impact and business methods for sustainability - allowing students to build their decisions on data supported evidence and including a specific professional certification – “bilan carbone®”. The module finishes with a sustainability factory, during which students pitch their transformation challenges solutions to the jury.
